Carpenter Excited to Champion Business at Eaton Community Bank

CHARLOTTE, Mich. – For Chelsey Carpenter it’s always been about community and living The Eaton Way. Born in Bellevue, a Charlotte High graduate with kids enrolled in Olivet Public Schools, Eaton County is “just home.”

As the new Vice President of Treasury Management at Eaton Community Bank, Carpenter brings her 22 years of experience and expertise to the business communities.

“I started as a teller when I was an 18-year-old freshman in college,” Carpenter said. “I’ve always loved the community feel; being able to know my customers and just get to know everybody. I love knowing that I’m making a difference with what I’m doing.”

Carpenter spent 8 years as a teller while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and a Juris Doctorate at Cooley Law School. She quickly ascended to assistant branch manager, branch manager and various vice president positions – Community Banking, Community Business Banking, Commercial Banking and Treasury Management.

“Chelsey has a great mind for finance and business, and a true passion for community,” said Eaton Community Bank President Garrett Bensinger. “We’re very excited to welcome her home. Chelsey is going to be a wonderful asset to the business community.”

As Vice President of Treasury Management, Carpenter will oversee a variety of services designed to assist businesses with their overall success. These services range from general business analysis and Remote Deposit Capture to ACH services, Positive Pay and much more.

“In my mind, Treasury Management is helping our business customers do business banking better,” Carpenter said. “We’re helping them find the tools necessary to make their business easy, effective and efficient.

“There’s a lot of terminology in banking; especially Treasury Management,” Carpenter continued. “But businesses just need to know I’m the person they can call to help them. I enjoy helping customers navigate and learn all of it so their business is more cost effective and efficient.”
